The Go Find began life as an electronic-oriented side project for Dieter Sermeus, lead singer and songwriter for the Belgian indie pop group Orange, Black. Formed in Sermeus' native Antwerp, Orange, Black had released three albums between 1997 and 2002, and served as the opening act for Belgian club gigs by the likes of Pavement and Stereolab. Sermeus began dabbling in homemade electronica, and eventually enlisted production help from his Morr Music labelmate Arne Van Petegem, who performed as the one-man electronica project Styrofoam. The results of their collaboration were released in 2004 as Miami, sounding something like Belgium's answer to the Postal Service.
