An enigmatic duo, little was known as to the details of Detroit post-punk merchants the Bodies Obtained. Specializing in a sound reminiscent of Eno, the Residents, and Throbbing Gristle, the Bodies Obtained released their first album, From the Top of My Tree, in 2008. Named after a Joy Division lyric, and embracing not just a bit of post-punk but also a healthy serving of early era Siouxsie and vintage Roxy Music, the group released a second collection of off-kilter tracks a year later, entitled Dead Plans. There were no tour plans for 2009-2010, as the band made it a policy not to perform live.
