This Jimi Hendrix -inspired US group was put together by guitarist/vocalist Sterling Cooke in 1983. Recruiting Gino Cannon (vocals), Harry Shuman (bass) and Albie Coccia (drums), they recorded two unspectacular albums during the mid-80s. Force This saw Cooke rescind the vocals to Cannon and the music adopted a more melodic and restrained style. Second-hand riffs, bridges and solos were the order of the day, which left the band with a serious identity crisis. After losing their recording contract they were consigned to the status of minor club circuit band from then on.
