Sound of Rails, who has thrived on the independent rock scene in their native Omaha since 1999, is comprised of guitarist John Kestner, bassist Chris Palmquist, and drummer Eric Ernst. Following the circuit that brought the likes of Her Flyaway Manner, Haymarket Riot, and Boys Life, Sound of Rails showcased a healthy indie rock dose and maintained coverage among the Midwest. Signed to Caulfield Records, their debut Prelude of Hypnotics was issued in fall 2000.
