New York City's So I Had to Shoot Him has been producing indie EPs, 7"s, and compilation tracks since 1995, but their peculiar brand of progressive new wave grind (think Blondie getting mauled by the Dillinger Escape Plan) didn't yield a full-length effort until 2005's Alpha Males and Popular Girls, by which time the group comprised vocalist/keyboardist Libby, guitarist/vocalist Prince Kodiak, guitarist the Fantasticality, bassist/vocalist Lord Lion Frenzy, and drummer/keyboardist Dan.
