Artist Biography by

Formed in Ottawa, Canada, in 1996, Sandmouth has created their own place on the rock music scene by creating sole-sounding compositions revealing their daring alternative rock fusion. In addition, they also disclose their major style influences as ranging from the psychedelic rock notes of Jimi Hendrix to the compound music scenarios of artists such as Frank Zappa or Pink Floyd. Composed of Ramsay Jackson (vocals), Luke Paluch (guitar), Jason LeBlanc (bass), and James Urie (drums), Sandmouth has gathered a solid fan base since the beginning of their activities, mostly due to their enthusiastic shows at local clubs. After more than three years during which they continuously toured all over Canada, Sandmouth decided on recording their first disc. Speedbump Euphoria, a six-song EP, arrived in record stores in 2000, before the band entered yet another intensive touring season.
