The story of Pyramid Peak begins in 1988. At that time, Axel Stupplich and Andreas Morsch met through a common friend. With a small amount of equipment, they started to make their own music. In 1988, they founded the band Digital Dream. They recorded some tapes in the beginning of the '90s, but it was one called Explorer that made the band become popular. After this last tape, Morsch stopped making music because of health reasons.
In 1995, Stupplich met Uwe Denzer and he gave a fresh impetus to the music. They changed their name to Pyramid Peak. One year later, they started to work on their first CD with new and old material from the previously released tape Explorer. Together with the brand new CD label Invisible-Shadows, they released works very close to the '70s and '80s Tangerine Dream style, but with a unique sound.
