b. 16 December 1945, Stockton-On-Tees, County Durham, England. Singer-songwriter who enjoyed most of his success in the late 70s and early 80s. Bond started playing in folk clubs in 1974, and became well known on the domestic circuit, and occasionally toured abroad. His guitar and harmonica playing were augmented by his playing clarinet on A Duck On His Head. After 10 years of playing and recording, Bond gave up performing in 1985. He currently teaches guitar full-time and composes and performs for BBC Radio schools programmes.
