Japanese rock band Monobright formed in 2006 when members Yousuke Momono (vocals, guitar), Shougo Matshshita (vocals, guitar), Hiroyuki Deguchi (bass), and Tsubasa Takitani (drums) met at the College of Visual Arts in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The band quickly became known for its bright, rhythmic sound, as well as the group's "uniform" of white polo shirts, tight black jeans, and glasses. After signing with DefSTAR Records, they released their debut album, Monobright One, in October 2007.
