Meredith Louise Miller started writing and playing music at age 15. Her first CD, Bob, was released in 1992 when she was 19 by Doolittle Records, which is based in Austin, TX. Miller then embarked on a tour to support the album, which included dates in Texas, the Midwest, and New York. After that, she settled in Austin while she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas. In 1995, she moved to Dallas, where she released her second album, ifihadahifi, on the Dallas-based label Steve Records that year. In 1997, she met Reed Easterwood, who previously worked with Mc 900 Ft. Jesus, and together they formed the Meredith Miller Band. The group started playing around Texas, and in 1999 the album madamI'madam was released on Binkey Records. Miller then moved back to Austin to get her graduate degree from the University of Texas. She continues to play solo acoustic shows in Austin and Dallas.
