Born in Chicago, IL, vocalist/songwriter Marcy Faith spent the majority of her childhood in Florida. A born performer, Faith took to the stage like a natural, singing and dancing in her hometown by the age of five. She took an interest in opera and musical theater while in high school, eventually earning an opera scholarship to Florida State. College proved to be too much of a financial strain, so the young singer (who was now fronting a cover band) moved back to Chicago to lead a double life as a commodities broker by day and a vocalist by night. She also found work singing jingles and appearing in commercials, eventually joining an all-girl group called Xpressions that nearly had a record deal before disbanding. She moved back to Florida and began recording her own music, and after a flurry of singles, she completed her full-length debut.
