Dominique is a former beautician and is the sister of guitarist Marino. She started her career in the UK singing in Marino’s band, but came to prominence through the pages of Kerrang! magazine, appearing regularly as a pin-up. With interest already generated, she decided on a career in the music business and was signed by FM Revolver/Heavy Metal Records. With the help of Marino (guitar), Pete Jupp (drums) and other session musicians, she debuted with Rock ‘N’ Roll Lady in 1989. The album was universally slated by the music media, and Dominique was subsequently dropped. Undaunted by this setback, she signed to Castle Communications and delivered Lisa Dominique in 1991. Again, this was not well received in the heavy metal fraternity, or anywhere else for that matter.
