The trailblazing, incredibly productive recording career of Justin Broadrick (guitar, vocals, drum programming) most notably includes stints in the formative grindcore band Napalm Death circa Scum (1987) and the pioneering industrial metal band Godflesh (1988-2002), as well as Jesu, a post-Godflesh experimental rock band with which he enjoyed widespread critical adoration. Born in 1969 in Birmingham, England, Broadrick formed his first band -- Final, in which he played guitar, wrote the songs, programmed a drum machine, and sang -- when he was only 13 years old.
