Ambitious Houston native Jessica Frith (aka Jessa) has been involved in the entertainment business since the age of five. By her early teen years, she was getting high-profile gigs: entertaining the mayor of Houston, performing at Olympic celebration ceremonies, and opening for Clay Walker. Music World Music (Beyoncé's business interest) took note of her and partnered Jessa with Eden's Crush songwriter/producer Michele Vice-Maslin. Jessa then began writing and recording her own material, which caught the ear of ABC Entertainment, who signed her to her first recording contract at age 15. Her songs quickly spread through MTV's roster of reality programming, appearing on The Real World, Sweet Sixteen, Punk'd, Rich Girls, Newport Harbor, and others, and quickly spread to other placements on the ABC, Disney, CBS, and Fox networks. After high school, Jessa attended the University of Southern California while continuing to write and record with Vice-Maslin.
