Artist Biography by

Originally started as a solo project for singer/guitarist the Amazing Lee, he decided to scrap the idea of going for the rock by himself and instead, accompanied by Rachel McDonnell (violin), Liz Whittington (cello), Brandon Arnold (guitar), Matt Mazarowski (bass), Mike Workman (drums) and Derek Mitchka (keyboards), he formed the Invaders from a Forbidden Planet in 1996. With their own brand of demented, humor soaked power-pop that took their native Florida unexpectedly, the releases started with the aforementioned Amazing Lee solo EP, the "Invaders" seven-inch and a split EP with Canard all within the year they got together. Following their first full length The Ups and Downs of Boyhood in 1998, two more split EP came about with Newsboy Legion and Red Soda. Queen City appeared a year later.
