Pairing shoegazer swirl with heavy indie rock fuzz, Infinite Body gained notice from the underground press and festival crowds for its unearthly sounds. Kyle Parker first came to musical attention during the mid-2000s under the solo moniker Gator Surprise. Parker then adopted the fitting alter ego Infinite Body and quietly dropped his new project's debut album, White Hymn, in 2007. He released a series of cassettes and LPs before Infinite Body's 2010 breakthrough, Carve Out the Face of My God, earned accolades from the tastemakers at Pitchfork. Parker was also favorably received at that year's South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.
