Folk singer/songwriter Howard Wooden grew up in Maryland and Michigan, settling in Vermont as an adult. In 1987, he was part of the trio McBride, Lussen & Wooden that recorded the album Full Circle. In the mid-'90s, he joined the Vermont folk group Wood's Tea Company. His debut solo album was Celtic Dreams, which he followed with Out on a Limb -- Copy 1 on his own Lightening Ridge label in 2001. Friends Gone By, issued by Gadfly Records, appeared in 2004. Despite this solo work, Wooden continued to perform with Wood's Tea Company.
