Artist Biography by

The lead vocalist and chief songwriter for New York-based party rock quartet, Stratotanker, Dick Dahl has increasingly turned to film as a medium for his musicologist-like exploration. His 2000 film, the Ballad Of Ramblin' Jack, co-written with the subject's daughter, Aiyana Elliott, told the story of the influential Brooklyn-born folksinger. Dahl also collaborated with Elliott on a video documentary about the Huichole Indians of the Mexican Sierra Madre.

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a degree in literature, Dahl has continued to learn through personal experience, spending extended period with the Mayan Indians of Guatemala and the Berber natives of Morocco.
