Dealing with lyrical subject matter of girls, being on the dole and other daily struggles of growing up in Liverpool, England, didn't stop Crocodile God from adding their brand of three chord pop-punk hooks and catchy harmonies. First featured on their debut EP Two Days and the album Old John Mac both released in 1995, Crackle Records took a liking to these guys and followed through a series of singles for the next two years to come; including "Boss" (1996), "Mind the Cat" (1997), and "Ladders" (1997). Their first mini-album, Stella, came out in 1999 with the same theme of playful pop along with a somewhat serious lyrical matter.
