In reality, Greenway simply did not have the songwriting skills to make it on his own - the vocals on Serious Business, his debut album for Atlantic Records in 1988, were laboured and unconvincing, despite the obvious skill of his guitar playing. It proved to be a one-off experiment before Greenway and Goodwin reunited in a re-formed April Wine at the turn of the 90s.
