Robert J. Orr's instrumental piano music follows in the mellow, improvisational tradition of George Winston, John Tesh and Michael Omartian. Now based in Washington, D.C., Orr managed artists for several years before beginning his own recording career, representing symphonies and opera companies as the head of RJO enterprises. In 1995, Orr received an award in the Mid-Atlantic songwriting contest, hosted by the Songwriters' Association of Washington. A year later, he released his first compact disc, Full Circle, on Encorr Records.
