When rock went symphonic in the late '60s, musicians such as this British viola player got some session work out of it. For Bernard Davis it must have peaked with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, although apparently one had to complain directly to Paul McCartney to be paid adequately for these sessions. This Bernard Davis should not be confused with either Davis the hip drummer from the '90s or the square tuba player from the Guy Lombardo band.
