Artist Biography by

In 1996, Eric Barlow (vocals/guitar), Thomas Jean (bass/vocals), and Kevin Hartson (drums) got together to form the Banjo Spiders, influenced by the likes of Buddy Holly, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and Elvis Costello. Invading their native Boston with a twist of '60s garage rock and power pop, the Banjo Spiders eventually signed with Spinning Records in 1998 and released the single You and My Pride/Come and Get Me. After the recruitment of Binky Rice to fill in on bass (given Jean's newfound role of second guitarist), the Banjo Spiders continued their relationship with Spinning Records and released their first self-titled full-length in 1999.
