Artist Biography by

Apostle of Solitude are a doom band from Indianapolis, IN, founded in 2004 by former Gates of Slumber drummer Chuck Brown (here handling vocals and guitar), along with Justin Avery (guitar), Brent McLellan (bass), and Corey Webb (drums). The quartet immediately proclaimed its traditional doom style (think Saint Vitus, Candlemass, and of course Black Sabbath) with 2006's Embraced by the Black EP and 2008's Sincerest Misery LP, but word on the group only began to spread after it signed with Profound Lore for the release of 2010's Last Sunrise album.
