Not to be confused with the Ohio neo-rockabilly band of the same name, Boston punk trio Drexel broke up shortly after the release of their third album, 2003's What Went Wrong. Unfortunately, it's a poor epitaph for a group that had shown some early promise. These nine songs -- all of them left untitled for no apparent reason -- are a weird mix of emo-ish punk and unexpected pop touches like the fifth track, a slightly reggae-tinged tune with Steely Dan-style electric piano that frankly sounds like a particularly rough-edged Barenaked Ladies demo. That this is the best song on the album by far reflects poorly on the much less idiosyncratic material, like the completely unoriginal At the Drive In-styled opener.
