AllMusic Review by

This BMG Special Products concoction, What a Wonderful World, employs a faceless studio band that takes ten standards, wipes out the vocals, and re-records them with generic arrangements. "What a Wonderful World," "Moonlight in Vermont," "A Foggy Day," "The White Cliffs of Dover," and "Meet Me in St. Louis, Louis" have been lovingly interpreted throughout the years by Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Roger Whittaker, Tony Bennett, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra, to name a few. Obviously the problem isn't in the material itself. This is elevator music and as such degenerates into background fluff.
