This was the second and last recording from this now defunct Italian progressive metal band. Not to pick on Black Jester, but the music here represents everything that went wrong with the progressive metal style. The music mostly plods along in an unoriginal fashion with an obvious debt to Dream Theater and Marillion. There is one cliché after another here, and the poor mixing of the lead vocals doesn't help. The prerequisite of quality musicianship is evident, but there are too many clichés here to truly call this music "progressive."
