This set is a straight reissue of Peter, Paul and Mary's 1988 release No Easy Walk to Freedom with a different title and artwork. Most of the material was written by Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow, and while the album is pleasant and enjoyably quirky (one of the songs, “Right Field,” is actually about a softball game, a subject one could hardly imagine this trio recording during its early-'60s commercial peak during the folk boom), it was hardly an essential addition to the group’s legacy. The two best tracks, versions of “El Salvador” and “Greenland Whale Fisheries,” were defiantly political, though, showing that the trio never left its social conscience behind.
