On 2001's Walt Disney Records Presents Feelings of Love, Philippine independent label Viva Records compiles 15 songs recorded by western and Philippine artists. All but one song were written by western composers. A number of well-known artists perform here, including Kenny Loggins on a performance of the sensuous ballad "Your Heart Will Lead You Home," Christina Aguilera and her soaring rendition of "Reflection" from the Walt Disney film Mulan, and local female singer Regine Velasquez and her version of "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing," initially a big hit for Aerosmith.
One of the album's most outstanding songs is "He Lives in You," performed by the remarkable and resilient Tina Turner. The song pulsates in a hypnotic, intriguing manner, the ambience of which is enhanced by an exotic backing chorus. There is a palpable tension in the air and Tina Turner builds the song with calculating precision, her husky voice twisting the words like corkscrews. Another outstanding song is "Someday" performed by Eternal. The female vocals here are absolutely wondrous and impart sensuous strength, taking the song to the limits. The one Philippine-composed number is "This Time," a smooth ballad performed by the soulful, popular local band Freestyle.
