AllMusic Review by

With a picture of a young Chuck Berry on the cover, this Norton Records release -- the same company responsible for reissuing albums by the Sonics and the Wailers -- screams a nostalgic sound of oldies radio. As they chant "viva viva rock & roll" among rockabilly twang and saxophone solos, the Church Keys rock out to a an era of Sun Records. Employing their '50s rock with '60s R&B that was intentionally produced as cheaply as possible, these guys, and one woman, could provide the soundtrack for a sock-hop party that's about to be trashed by a biker gang.
