AllMusic Review by

Inspired by Lou Reed and John Cale's Songs for Drella homage to Andy Warhol, Une Vie Saint Laurent is a conceptual album from French vocalist Alain Chamfort based on the hugely influential fashion designer's life. Released two years after Yves Saint Laurent's death in 2008, its 12 impressionistic tracks, co-written with Le Soldat Rose creator Pierre Dominique Burgaud, include the single "A la Droite de Dior."
