AllMusic Review by

Their first recording's acoustic/electronic mix had African overtones with echoes witty or wistful of idioms ranging from the Orient to baroque Germany and '30s French cabaret. The result is both original and all of a piece -- one of those recordings that doesn't really fit into any neat definitional box, and thus has remained the preserve of a too-small number of passionate devotees.
