AllMusic Review by

Far from the most reputable label around, Legacy Entertainment (not to be confused with Legacy, Sony's catalog label) has been known to release compilations of inferior re-recordings without notifying the potential consumer in any way. Any of their releases should be approached with some apprehension. The first volume in their Tunes for Toddlers series, subtitled "A Collection of Favorite Songs, Rhymes and Stories," contains a lot of longtime favorites, and while these versions are not bad, they sound very low-budget -- and as if they were recorded in a hurry. This volume features "Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Quick," "Baa Baa Black Sheep," "Sing a Song of Sixpence," and "Pop Goes the Weasel."
