Part of the thriving Red Dirt music scene, the Josh Abbott Band have been making a name for themselves throughout Texas and the Southwest ever since they played their first shows in 2008. After proving they could deliver the goods on-stage -- they've already sold out shows at Billy Bob's Texas, the super-sized Fort Worth honky tonk that holds 6,000 -- Abbott and his bandmates are eager to show the world what they can do in the recording studio. The Tuesday Night EP is the Josh Abbott Band's first major-label release after three independent albums, and as suits a band that was first formed by Abbott and some of his fraternity brothers, the five songs reflect a young man's desire for good times on tunes like "Where's the Party" and the title cut, as well as more contemplative views of a woman's side of the story in "Blush" and "She Don't Break." Tuesday Night shows the Josh Abbott Band can bring a fresh spirit to country music without losing touch with their Texas roots.
