AllMusic Review by

Released at the beginning of 2010, Total Club Hits, Vol. 4 covers the second half of 2009 -- Vol. 3 covered the first -- rounding up six months' worth of mainstream dance tracks. There’s a bit of dance-pop tacked on the end thanks to LMFAO and David Guetta, but most of the cuts come from more urban genres with big names like Rihanna, Flo Rida, and Mariah Carey representing. DJ Poet Name Life does an excellent job mixing the whole thing together, starting with flashy R&B from the Black Eyed Peas, then chilling out during the slow jam middle of the set before bringing the beat back with Kristinia DeBarge’s stomping “Goodbye.” Well done and recommended as a party soundtrack, but hardcore ballers should be warned that the rap cuts are edited with all offensive language removed.
