Come on, who can't love a song about monkeys? This volume of the Toddler's Next Steps series -- subtitled "ABC & 1-2-3 Songs" -- kicks off with the fun singalong "Five Little Monkeys." It continues through the alliterative hot jazz of "I Always Punctuate My P's" ("Procure a pack of chimpanzees!"), the pleasant, almost James Taylor-ish "Stories Live," and the spastic-'50s rock redux "Rock and Roll Teachers." In addition to the kid's choir that pops up throughout Toddler's Next Steps, it features performances from series regulars like Bob McGrath, Jack Grunsky, and the always reliable Sharon, Lois & Bram. Highly recommended.
