Considering that Maggie Carey's debut feature film The To Do List is a coming-of-age comedy set in the early '90s, it has a spot-on collection of songs from that era all about love and s-e-x. From brash (2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny") to straightforward (Salt-N-Pepa's "Let's Talk About Sex") to dismissive (Elastica's "Stutter"), the soundtrack covers all the bases when it comes to the sexual attitudes of the time, and also leaves room for some iconic love songs (James' "Laid," Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You"). Tracks from MC Hammer, the Gin Blossoms, and the Cranberries round out this affectionate time capsule.
