Although an influence of garage rock is strongly apparent in the Dirtbombs sound, their approach is completely different in terms of their structure and lineup. Two bassists (one who uses fuzz distortion), two drummers, and a singer/guitarist slop along to three tracks of raunchy, experimental '60s punk. Although the two-drummers lineup is barely noticeable, with their accompanying high-strung guitar solos and walloping screams from their slurring vocalist, the Dirtbombs could be easily described as early Mudhoney meets '70s glam rock.
