The first time I listened to this album, I completely wrote it off and I never wanted to listen to it again. After reading the quirky but poetic lyrics ("I'd give anything to know what was right that feeling's an aphrodisiac but wrongness gets a hold and turns you into an amnesiac") made me put in on again. It was not long before I had listened to the album for the umpteenth time. It has been so long since I heard a song-oriented band with lyrics I really wanted to listen to, that is was like discovering acoustic pop rock all over again. Now, come to think of it, I don't deserve any less than lyrics that are clever and insightful in a bed of smart arrangements.
