AllMusic Review by

This 40-song retrospective of the indefinable musical collagists the Men's Recovery Project displays the extraordinary range, humor, and plain weirdness of the group, which featured singer Sam McPheeters and musician and artist Neil Burke--both from seminal 1990s hardcore band Born Against--plus a variety of guests and all the cut-price gadgetry they could muster. Exploring similar territory to fellow experimentalists Negativland, the duo's cheap keyboard sounds and demented drum machine rhythms, punk-rock guitars, distorted vocals, and surreal songs and stories (like the one about a self-reproducing sofa that dies of a broken heart) make for constantly intriguing, sometimes baffling, frequently hilarious listening.
