Billed as a compilation, the bulk of this album is credited to a choral ensemble called the Christmas Eve Choir. A straightforward, but very pleasant set of well-known Christmas carols, the choir is accompanied on most of the tracks by handbells. Following renditions of "The First Noel," "We Three Kings," "Joy to the World," and other seasonal standards are a trio of hymns by the Sound and Spirit Chorus and the Holy Christian Choir. The closing track, a solo performance of "Glory Hallelujah" by French singer Maggy Villette, feels a bit out of place on this otherwise ensemble-oriented collection, but overall, this is a very nice Christmas album brimming with sincerity.
