AllMusic Review by

Gorgeous, fractured, and fragile electronica from a German duo operating on the periphery of the splintered Teutonic scenes. Already highly regarded for their idiosyncratic 12"s, Herrmann and Kleine's first foray onto disc aligns perfectly with a number of the post-IDM acts to be found on the sterling Morr Music label. Laser hits plastic initially on the wondrous, quickbeat multi-step of "Kickboard Girl," all chiming electronics, hastening rhythms and starshine. Track 2 recasts the title tracks in day-glo, with metallic pinprick beatbox snares and electronics cascading down like tears in rain. "My Friend Sam" recalls the halycon days of Seefeel, with its percolating beats and gliding synths and just the right amount of edge-smearing fuzz. For those into the warm and fuzzy modes of electronica, Herrmann & Kleine are right up your alley.
