The One Way label's Groundhogs Best 1969-72 collects 17 tracks over the span of two discs from the British blues outfit led by Jack Bruce-like guitarist/songwriter/vocalist T.S. (Tony) McPhee. All of the material is culled from the Blues Obituary, Thank Christ for the Bomb, Split, Who Will Save the World?, and Hogwash albums, offering up a nice cross-section of the band's early and most influential period. Originally released in 1974, this is a nice entry point for potential listeners, though the band's 1970 psychedelic/blues-rock masterpiece Thank Christ for the Bomb remains their most vital achievement.
