The fourth installment of Intersound's Great Entertainers series features excerpts of various radio broadcasts from the '30s and '40s. This interesting set finds famous Hollywood celebrities backed by swing bands alongside pop/jazz vocalists, including the Nat King Cole Trio, the Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Joan Crawford with Nat Finston and the MGM Studio Orchestra, Mae West with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Bob Hope and Shirley Ross, the Ink Spots, Bette Davis, Vaughn Monroe and the Norton Sisters, and Kate Smith. The sound quality isn't great considering the source and era, but it's definitely listenable.
