This double-A-side single had both its lead cuts end up on Introducing, and for good reason. "The Game of Eyes," which also surfaced on Bwyd Time, begins with a sudden declamatory vocal repeating the title several times while the band goofily wigs out behind it. Childs sings the verses in his usual sweet fashion, only to have the nutty voice come back on the psych-heavy breaks and start freaking out completely, mad laughter and all -- call it the Dukes of Stratosphear go to Wales. "Pentref Wrth y Môr," meanwhile, takes the band for a wistful turn, Childs and band both sounding almost giddily sweet, the keyboards and flute notes adding the gently drowsy feel. The one track otherwise uncollected elsewhere, "Cwpwrdd Sadwrn," is a treasure, a slightly more conventional indie/neo-psych rocker with a quietly intense verse and catchy, full-on chorus, not to mention a noisy and rather random feedback conclusion.
