The radio appearances included on this collectors' LP from 1979 do not duplicate those on any other album or CD. Pianist-singer Nat "King" Cole and his trio (which includes guitarist Oscar Moore and bassist Johnny Miller) are featured on a pair of Bing Crosby Kraft Music Hall shows, a Jubilee program and a few other shows. Their dozen performances are all excellent and are highlighted by "Frim Fram Sauce," a version of "Sweet Lorraine" without the guitar and two versions apiece of "If You Can't Stand Smile and Say Yes" and instrumental renditions of "Sweet Georgia Brown." Cole's piano playing and singing, Moore's guitar work and the classic sound of the Trio are all very much in evidence. Worth searching for.
