The 1987 follow-up to The Entertainer does not have the element of ambition and versatility of its predecessor, but it is no letdown, either. Vocalists Pedro Arroyo and Yolanda Rivera keep the interest aflame. "Soy lo Peor" (composed by Armando Manzanero), "Amarte a Tí" (composed by Arroyo), and "Lo Mío es Cantar" (composed by Johnny Ortiz) are the better cuts of this very professional endeavor that delivers the goods with aplomb. Oddly enough, the end of the decade will provide some highly commercial material for this orchestra that would hardly top some of Haddock's most creative enterprises. This item is available mostly on LP, but it is worth the look as a curio.
