AllMusic Review by

A suave, smooth best-of compilation from Lillo Thomas, at least they didn't call it a greatest-hits set, since he had few of them. Thomas recorded mostly ballads and mid-tempo floaters in his light tenor/falsetto. His renditions of "My Girl," and "Just My Imagination" are smooth, fluid and majestically done, many can't distinguish his version of "Imagination" from Eddie Kendricks' original. Sugar plums like "Downtown," "Sexy Girl," and "Sweet Surrender" achieved some recognition for Thomas along the Eastern Seaboard. His rendition of Otis Redding's "I've Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)" is a surprise, but Lillo pulls off the deep soul classic, despite the frailties of his voice. "All of You (Can't Take Half, )" a duet with Melba Moore, is more familiar to many then his solo sides.
