This CD is the fourth release in a series of audio documentaries made be sound artist Rolf Julius. The subjects of the recording are his minute sound sculptures that the artist builds from small speakers, making beautiful audio-visual installations, which emit microscopic sounds. These generative sculptures use the speakers to project pre-recorded sounds and act as kinetic sculptures, which he uses in the process of generating images. The movement of the speakers dispels paint-pigments onto paper -- the perfect marriage between image and sound is achieved in these abstract works. As a purely sound recording, this CD takes on a new form as a micro-music, beautifully recorded and intriguing to listen to. It makes a good impression of experiencing these sculptures first-hand as the presence of the environment and spatial sense is emphasized in the recording.
