This CD reissue brings two of the most representative albums of Taiguara, which were recorded in the dawn of his career (Taiguara, in 1968, and Viagem, in 1970) when he spent about four years as a successful singer/composer in the historic Brazilian festivals.
Taiguara, precociously deceased, is still today a cherished romantic singer/composer. In this album, one can get acquainted with some of his biggest hits, "Benvinda," "Modinha," "Helena, Helena, Helena," "Universo No teu Corpo," "Prelúdio No. 2," "Viagem," and many others. Also interpreting mid-tempo sambas in a competent way, he is supported by an instrumental backing, alternating orchestral/band accompanying, always with the expressive arrangements of Maestro Gaya and Taiguara's own piano playing. Good sound quality in the remastering.
